but also like to ride their tricycles, play basketball or t-ball with Daddy, collect rocks and sticks to throw into the neighborhood lake (at the bridge!), ride in Paw Paw and Grammy's paddle boat, play on the new neighborhood playground, and anything else they can find to do outdoors.
As mentioned last week, John and I celebrated our 7th anniversary on June 9th, but decided to save our date night for the weekend. So Friday night, Drew and Grayson packed their bags to stay the night with Grammy (Paw Paw was out of town, but on his way home!), and John, Roe, and I headed to Villa Montez for dinner. It was our first time at this restaurant, and can I say FABULOUS loud enough? We loved our meal...especially the Tres Leches for dessert! Roe was a trooper,... and crowd pleaser too! Ha! After we got home, my mom called around 9:45 to say she needed to bring Grayson home so that we could take a look at his mouth. Turns out, as they all went up the stairs to Grammy's room, Drew and Grayson ran straight for the couch and started jumping on it, and just as fast as she could tell them to stop, Grayson fell and hit his mouth on the back of the couch. He hit right above his top teeth on the gumline. It didn't look pretty, but he was okay. Here's a picture of him the next morning...notice the blood on his shirt and in the corners of his mouth! (It looks much worse if you look INSIDE his mouth).
He decided to stay home with us that night while Drew stayed at Grammy and Paw Paw's. I realized the next morning that this is the first night they've spent apart since Drew came home from the hospital a week after Grayson! Wow! They did great, but were so excited to see each other the next morning when Grammy and Paw Paw took them to the farmer's market.
Father's Day was our first time at church with Baby Roe! I fixed a big breakfast that morning and we were all ready and out the door by 7:45...what an accomplishment! Roe did great...listened quietly during the worship service, and then slept through the message. I fed him in the "nursing room" while John played during the second service, and then we went on to Sunday Morning Bible Study. Roe did get a little vocal during the closing prayer, but I guess he just wanted all to hear his prayer to God too! It was a great day!
Also, weekend before last, some friends let us stay in their farmhouse. We had so much fun, and I took TONS of pictures. When I get more time, I will share them with you all!
