Day Off

I love when John has the day off on a week day! Tuesday was one such day...so fun! John went for a run in the morning and then he and the big boys went to have a cappuccino at Marco's (our neighbor) while I stayed home to feed Roe. (Yes, he brought me a cappuccino when he came home!) Then we were off to the zoo.

I love the zoo. The boys love the zoo. We even have year passes, but unfortunately we haven't been in quite a while because pregnant me didn't feel up to it. (I really prefer to go to the zoo in the fall/winter because it's much cooler, fewer people are there, and you have a better view of the animals because of the bare trees.) Well, Tuesday was a very nice day, warm, but not unbearable, crowded, but not too crowded. The boys had a great time...favorites including the giraffes, elephants, zebras, penguins (they were swimming!) and of course feeding the ducks! By the way, this was Roe's first zoo trip and he slept like a pro! ha!




After lunch I had a dentist appointment to get a crown...not fun, but at least Daddy was home to keep the kiddos. Then we all played outside for a while when I got home and for dinner John grilled fish. (I love it when he cooks on the grill...makes my job easier, AND everything tastes better cooked on the grill, don't ya think?) We topped off the night with Andy's frozen custard...YUMMY! It was a perfect day.
