A little story

The other day we all headed out to a drive-through Christmas lights display with my parents. The kids loved it and so did we, but my favorite part is actually a short conversation that occurred on the way there. My dad asked Grayson if he had gotten in trouble that day and Grayson was very quiet. I was sitting in the back seat with him and Drew so I was watching his little face as he thought over his day.....it took him a while before he looked over at me and whispered, "Did I?"

At that moment, my heart just melted! My kids are not perfect. They get in trouble often, and sometimes they even lie hoping to not get in trouble- you know what I mean b/c your kids do it too. But at that moment, my sweet little boy was trying to give his Paw Paw an honest answer and I saw it in his precious face. I can still see his expression - so sincere, so genuine. Melts my heart.

For the record, he didn't get in trouble that day - which made the whole experience even sweeter to this momma!
