Some favorites

Grayson has been making me smile lately and so I thought I'd share some stories with you.
Story #1:
The boys love to check out videos from our church library, but with the end of their Wednesday night activities, we haven't gotten a new routine for checking them out lately. Well, after hearing Grayson talk about a certain video he calls "Train Whistles," I decided to check it out for him when I was at church last Wednesday. The next morning Drew saw the video and said, "Oh, I have to show Grayson!" I sat in the kitchen feeding Roe as Drew carried the video off to Grayson....and what took place next made my heart smile! Grayson saw the video and said, "I have been asking for this for a long time!" -then turned into the kitchen and said "THANK YOU, MOMMY!" as he ran to give me the biggest hug all with a huge grin on his face! It may not seem like much, but it made my day! I love when the little things are the big things, you know?! (And the video is a great one...just footage of real trains...no talking...just trains and their whistles....my Uncle Bob would have loved it!)
Story #2:
We went to Wal-Mart yesterday, and as I passed a couple of empty parking spots on one aisle to go over to the next aisle (the one next to the shopping carts, of course!), Grayson said, "Mommy, I saw a couple of parking spots, push it to the "R" and go backwards!" I just had to laugh out loud. I thought, man, he is a smart kid! (Side note: He just learned this from riding his friend Reid's tractor last week. He wanted to back up so I told him to push the gear to the "R" and hit the pedal! Hey, he's listening!)
