Birthday Pictures

Drew and Grayson had a great 'birthday weekend!' We started by opening presents from family on Thursday night (their actual birthday). As you can see....there were plenty! They received pictures to hang in their room, clothes, games, and toys...especially Thomas the Train stuff! Here they are before opening their gifts...

Friday was their birthday party. We had lots of pizza, lots of cake, and LOTS OF FUN! Drew wanted a yellow cake and Grayson wanted a chocolate cake so I decided to make both...we needed plenty anyway. I also decided to try my first "pretty" cake and so my friend Amber let me borrow her cake decorating stuff. While it took me a good 2 hours to decorate it, I had fun making this firetruck cake. (It matches the boys' birthday shirts!) Blowing out the candles on their chocolate birthday cake.

Opening more presents

Here is a picture of the poster after the kids played "pin the badge on the firedog's hat." It was probably ALL the kids' first time to play this game and it was so funny to watch. Drew and Grayson both cheated...pulling the blindfold off their eyes to put their badge in the correct spot! I think next time we shouldn't tell them there is a prize for the winner!
