A New Name

Just wanted to let you all know that I have a new name....(drum roll, please)... I am now "Mom." Yep, you read it correctly, I am no longer Mommy or Mama, but Mom. I guess I noticed Drew calling me this over the last few weeks now, but it was brought home even more the other day. When correcting the boys, I often speak the words I want them to say...like when they tell me they want something, I rephrase it for them in a question, so they will learn to ask politely. Well, I did this for Drew by telling him to ask, "Mommy, will you fix me some cold water?" instead of just saying "I want some cold water!"...to which he replied, "I call you Mom." Oh, okay.... Well, here's your water,...boo hoo, sob. I must admit it's kind of sad to me, but at least I still have Grayson and Roe to call me Mommy for a while longer...hopefully. By the way, Drew is also calling John - Dad! This boy is growing up too fast for his MOMMY!!!
